MercuryCloud helps users experience the new features of Windows Vista
February 2007
Seattle, February 2007—MercuryCloud announces the completion of its part of the Windows Vista project, which debuted to the public on January 30th. Teaming up with marketing managers from Windows Vista and Marketplace teams, MercuryCloud developed ten vignettes to be featured on the Windows Marketplace website.
To illustrate the software’s features, the team used rich digital storytelling giving new users a chance to have a more personal and enjoyable experience. The stories are designed to educate customers on the benefits of Windows Vista, and to encourage sales of third-party products that interact with the system. Each scenario focuses on one highlight of the new operating system and applicable products, incorporating attractive visual design, custom music, narration and motion graphics.
MercuryCloud also wrote a unique storyline to show the customer how Windows Vista relates to their daily lives, whether at work, home, or when wirelessly connecting with others. These flash-based scenarios are told using animation, custom photography, motion graphics, music, narration, and dynamic product shots. The finished site is a simple and functional series of interactive demonstrations that give the user a rich multimedia experience and create a personal connection that directly translates into sales in the Windows Marketplace store.
